Revenue
For the third quarter ended 30 September 2023 Lecta had revenue of €286.2 million versus €509.5 million in the third quarter ended 30 September 2022, a decrease of €(223.3) million or -43.8%.
- Lower sales of CWF, Specialties and Purchased Products of €(204.1) million or -42.9%, from €476.2 million in 302022 to €272.1 million in 302023, resulting from lower sales volumes of (100,300) metric tonnes or -34%, with 192,100 metric tonnes in 302023 vs 292,500 metric tonnes in 302022, and a decrease in average net sales price of 212€/t or -13.0%, with 1.416€/t in 302023 vs 1.628€/t in 302022; and
- Lower sales of energy of €(19.2) million or -58%, from €33.3 million in 302022 to €14.1 million in 302023, resulting from higher sales volumes of 11,900 MWh or 10%, with 129,700 MWh in 302023 vs 117,800 MWh in 302022, and an decrease in average net sales price of 174€/MWh or -62%, with 109€/MWh in 302023 vs 283€/MWh in 302022.
Raw Materials and Consumables Used
The costs of raw materials and consumables used decreased by €117.8 million, or -49.7%, from €237.0 million in 302022 to €119.3 million in 302023, and as a percentage of revenue they decreased from 46.5% in 302022 to 41.7% in 302023. The absolute decrease was mainly attributable to lower volume produced, lower purchased volumes, and to a decrease in the average consumption price of pulp of 306€/t.
