Adobe price increases: what you need to know

Adobe, a leading software company, is imminently introducing a price hike for its products, particularly Acrobat Pro. In this blog post, we delve into the details of this price increase and explore how it affects customers. We also discuss strategies to mitigate the impact of the increase and save costs.

If you’re an Adobe user or considering purchasing their products, read on to understand the changes and find potential solutions.

The reason for Acrobat Pro’s price increase was driven by the addition of new e-signing functionalities to Acrobat Pro, making it a more comprehensive solution. As a result, the price for new customers is rising by approximately 40%. However, existing customers will continue to enjoy the previous pricing until their renewal dates.

Adobe employed various channels to notify customers about price increases. Depending on their purchasing method, customers will receive notifications through VIP admin newsletters, pop-up messages, or via direct contact with their enterprise account managers. Additionally, Adobe shared information on its website to keep users informed about the changes.

The price increase for commercial customers comes into effect on July 1, 2023, while public sector customers will experience it three months later – from September 1.  (Please note at this point there are no price changes for Education, ETLA customers, or Creative Cloud All App customers). The timeline implies that businesses still have a short window of opportunity to explore alternative options and make informed decisions before the price hike takes effect.

Despite this, many are still unaware of how these changes may affect the business and what they should do to mitigate them.
