Effective April 12th, 2021 Sealed will implement a surcharge for Instapak® components

We continue to experience an unprecedented operating environment brought on by the Global Pandemic and subsequent surge in demand across packaging end markets. The severe winter storms in February placed additional pressure, creating severe and lingering disruptions in Gulf Coast operations for many Sealed Air suppliers. As a result, many chemical suppliers have declared a “Force Majeure” event. Across the past month, these events have driven another rapid escalation in chemical costs along with freight, logistics and other input costs, with Sealed Air receiving additional increases from suppliers.

Effective April 12th, 2021 Sealed will implement the following surcharge for Instapak® components:
• SEALED AIR® brand Instapak® (A&B) components $USD 0.40 /lb or $CAD 0.50 /lb surcharge
• SEALED AIR® brand Instapak® Simple® (A&B) components 15% surcharge
