Eight percent increase: Roofers receive a two-step increase in salary

The approximately 100,000 employees in the German roofing trade will receive more money. In two steps, the workers are to receive an eight percent increase in salary. There will also be an inflation compensation premium. The IG Bauen-Agrar-Umwelt and the employers agreed on a tariff level of 5.0 percent as of November 1 and a further increase of 3.0 percent in October 2023, as both sides announced on Friday. In addition, there is an inflation compensation premium of 950 euros in two installments, which is tax and duty-free according to the specifications of the federal government.
