European inflation eases for 3rd month but prices still bite
01.02.2023 According to data released on Wednesday by the statistics office of the European Union, Eurostat, the consumer price index for the 20 nations that use the euro currency increased by 8.5% in January from the same month last year. The annual rate in December was 9.2%, thus this is a decrease. The annual inflation rate in the United States fell to 6.5% in December, but the United Kingdom’s reading of 10.5% showed how the British economy was a glaring exception to the IMF’s more optimistic view for 2023.
