Fed’s Goolsbee says fall in US inflation is not just a blip
Chicago Fed president Austan Goolsbee said it is “undeniable” that the slowdown in U.S. inflation is a trend rather than a momentary blip, despite a recent string of economic data showing persistent pressure on some prices, the Financial Times reported on Monday.
“There is a lot saying that inflation is trending down compared with what it has been and that’s what we want,” Goolsbee said in an interview with the Financial Times.
