Henkel Half-Year Report 2023
In a persistently challenging market environment, Henkel achieved Group sales of 10,926 million euros in the first half of 2023, equivalent to a nominal growth of 0.1 percent. Foreign exchange effects reduced sales by -2.5 percent and included the effects of the application of IAS 29 (Financial Reporting in Hyperinflationary Economies) for Türkiye.2 Acquisitions and divestments reduced sales by -2.2 percent, with the effects of the announced and meanwhile completed exit of the business activities in Russia having been included since the beginning of the second quarter of 2022.2 In organic terms (i.e. adjusted for foreign exchange and acquisitions/divestments), a very strong sales growth of 4.9 percent was achieved. The increase was driven by double-digit price increases, with both business units contributing.
