KLÖCKNER PENTAPLAST

Packaging maker Klöckner Pentaplast (KP, London; www.kpfilms.com) has announced plans to close its German facility in Beeskow, 80 km south-east of Berlin in Brandenburg before the end of 2023. The site is home to subsidiary Linpac Packaging Rigid, which produces PET and EPP trays and flexible packaging for the food and retail sectors. Some 60 employees are to be affected by the shutdown, a KP spokesperson told Plasteurope.com.
