Revenue

For the six months ended 30 June 2023 Lecta had revenue of €646.8 million versus €997.9 million in the six months ended 30 June 2022, a decrease of €(351.2) million or -35.2%.

  • Lower sales of CWF, Specialties and Purchased Products of €(275.2) million or -31.1%, from €884.7 million in 1H2022 to €609.5 million in 1H2023, resulting from lower sales volumes of (262,200) metric tonnes or -41%, with 385,800 metric tonnes in 1H2023 vs 647,800 metric tonnes in 1H2022, and an increase in average net sales price of 214€/t or 16%, with 1.580€/t in 1HQ2023 vs 1.366€/t in 1HQ2022; and
  • Lower sales of energy of €(75.9) million or -67%, from €113.3 million in 1H2022 to €37.3 million in 1HQ2023, resulting from lower sales volumes of 272,000 MWh or -51%, with 266,200 MWh in 1H2023 vs 538,200 MWh in 1H2022, and an decrease in average net sales price of (76)€/MWh or -67%, with 37€/MWh in 102023 vs 113€/MWh in 1H2022.

Raw Materials and Consumables Used

The costs of raw materials and consumables used decreased by €158.2 million, or -36.1%, from €438.0 million in 1H2022 to €279.8 million in 1H2023, and as a percentage of revenue they decreased from 43.9% in 1H2022 to 43.3% in 1H2023. The absolute decrease was mainly attributable to lower purchased volumes, and to a decrease in the average consumption price of pulp of 54€/t.
