McDonald’s Q3 revenues were boosted by price increases and promotions.
Customers didn’t stay away from McDonald’s in the third quarter despite higher costs and widespread economic concern, as the fast food giant reported stronger-than-expected sales and profits. McDonald’s Chief Financial Officer Ian Borden, who was appointed to the position last month, reported that prices in the United States were 10% higher from July to September of last year. Nonetheless, some customers with lesser incomes appeared to switch to cheaper menu options.
