ÖBB-Mitarbeiter erhalten 8,9 Prozent mehr Gehalt
The unions and ÖBB have agreed on a new collective wage agreement after weeks of wage negotiations, which then culminated in a one-day strike. According to the agreement, employees will receive an average pay increase of 8.9 to 10.8 percent (depending on the pay scale level). However, the increase relates to the years 2022 and 2023 and thus to two years. In addition, 500 euros agreed as a cost-of-living bonus. At Deutsche Bahn (DB), collective bargaining with the EVG union will begin in February. The union is currently consulting its members on the upcoming round of collective bargaining. Among other things, members can decide whether there should again be a percentage increase or a fixed amount or a combination of both.
