Price leap at Aldi, Lidl, Rewe & Co.: own brands are becoming much more expensive than branded products
The prices of supermarket own brands have risen particularly sharply in the past year. This is shown by an analysis of market data published by foodwatch. The consumer organization has examined the price development of foodstuffs whose prices have increased. The result: The retail chains have increased the prices of their cheapest private label products by more than 30 percent on average.
