Choco Krispies, Frosties or Smacks will no longer be available to consumers on some supermarket shelves. The Rewe Group is dropping the Kellogg Company’s breakfast products from its range. According to the “Lebensmittelzeitung”, the well-known brand cereals from Kellogg’s will be replaced by the in-house breakfast cereals from “ja”. the reason for this is a dispute about an upcoming price increase. It was supposed to come into force on November 1st. The consequence of the Rewe Group was to take the products out of the range. The Kellogg Company responded by halting deliveries. The Rewe Group confirmed to the “Lebensmittelzeitung” that there was “no common understanding of reasonable price increases” with Kellogg’s.
