Toyota PH price hike

Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) announced earlier this week that it will implement price increases on select models effective May 1. Well, today’s the day, and upon checking the TMP website, it looks like the price lists have been updated.

Let’s start with the Yaris Cross, which fortunately only sees slight increases. The base G variant gets a P5,000 price bump, while the higher V and S HEV trims get P6,000 adjustments. The Avanza sees similar changes, specifically P5,000 for the J and E MT and P6,000 for the E CVT and G variants. Also, contrary to the initial report, TMP didn’t adjust the prices for the Veloz.

It’s the people-haulers that get the chunk of the price bumps. The Coaster is now P90,000 more expensive, while the Alphard sees a P105,000 increase. As for the pre-FMC Hiace range (old face models), the Cargo is up by P23,000 and the Ambulance and Commuter both by P11,000. For current-gen models, price increases range from as low as P57,000 to P75,000. Of note is that the Super Grandia Elite gets the biggest price bump here.

The RAV4 also gets big price hikes. The RAV4 XLE gets a P57,000 price increase, while the LTD sees an even bigger P67,000 adjustment. As for the Rush, Hilux, and Fortuner, these models only see similar adjustments as that of the Yaris Cross and Avanza.
