Unbearable price increases as some coffees reach over $7

Starbucks is a morning must-have for many Americans, with over 37.8 million customers a month, according to Nielsen.

But fans of the coffee house on Reddit say they are being forced to give up their Starbucks trips due to the high menu prices.

Posting to the thread r/Starbucks, one customer wrote that they are “breaking up with Starbucks.”

Starbucks fans saw consecutive price hikes during the pandemic as the company said it was “forced to raise prices due to inflation and supply-chain issues.”

Customers are also paying top dollar for premium options that go beyond the regular espressos and drip coffees.

For example, signature lattes like pumpkin spice, cold brew coffees, and Frappuccinos are all more expensive than more traditional alternatives.

Starbucks also stings customers with customizable options like extra syrup and cold foam.
